OK...  first...MTH just announced that they are going to make a re-tooled and  nicer version of the premier wood side low cupola caboose...  NYC, L&N, UP and NKP

Whats important is that this is a NYC specific caboose.  it was made with the low cupola for tunnel clearance.  Almost all other railroads that had these offset cupola woodside cabooses, were regular height cupolas.  Now it seems almost every RR had the standard cupola woodside cabooses...but the search was on for RR's that actually had low cupola wood side cabooses, but i did find a few RR's.

1.  Raritan River.   2 road numbers will be done...#4 and #7

Also have a few other possibilities, but still waiting for approval from MTH.

Here's the announcement for the MTH offerings for these cabooses

"The Raritan River only had 1 of those cabooses, #7 (originally in their 2nd yellow paint, followed by the paint shown above). Rutland had several of these cabooses, and, in fact, is where the RRRR got theirs. "

U are correct, however with the choice of getting 100 cabooses in 1 road number or 50 each of 2 road numbers, I went for the latter.  That way if someone wants 2 cabooses, they can do so.  its not that much of a stretch.

yes.

Thanks, I wasn't sure because the picture they have on the website @MrMuffin'sTrains is a steel sided caboose.

Below are some pics to show the difference

MKT wood side caboose in La Grange, Texas

MKT steel side caboose at the Red River Museum in Denison, Texas

If MTH kept their steel sided caboose that would be a good one do to too.
