If you can find it somewhere, such as youtube. there is a movie circa 1942 called "Hitler Wanted Dead or Alive"   with Ward Bond and another familiar looking actor who played the Sheriff on The Rifleman.

Anyhow....for a brief 10 seconds they show an early Stainless Steel body Zephr. It's on very early in the movie..and no, John Wayne doesn't make a cameo

Does anyone know where it was shot?

In the area of Cottage Grove, Oregon.  Same area as Emperor of the North.

Keaton's "General" was filmed on the Oregon, Pacific and Eastern.  The locomotives came from a logging railroad.  Keaton also did his own stunts.

The train wreck was supposedly the most expensive special effect of the time.

In CP land - Where else would it be cold enough? I also think they filmed some in Finland on an old Russian invasion route. They weren't far from the Soviet border. That train would make an interesting model group.

I've mentioned these before but I don't think it was here.

Hope there's no repeats

Foghorn Leghorn Workin' on the railroad

"Road Hog!" Blink & you'll miss it. This guy was on the rails constantly

This is great! I wonder what hisbathroom is like.

Banacek: Season 1, Episode 2 "Project Phoenix":

The multi-million dollar Phoenix, prototype for a revolutionary new car, disappears from a non-stop train en route to Boston - flat-car included. Banacek is called in to find the missing vehicle before a huge insurance claim must be paid.

Includes 12" to the foot scale trains as well as O Gauge - Looks like early 70's Atlas O.

BBC TV show called Monarch of the Glen.  Takes place on a Scottish estate.  Multiple scenes at the local railway station and on a train.  And the main character's father has a good sized layout on a billiard table.  I'm not very good with british trains, but it's two rail and the locos are clockwork.

Two TV shows that I remember (maybe already mentioned in this long thread):

1) An "Andy Griffith Show" episode where Andy and Barney go down to the station in Mayberry, NC to meet the train.  In pulls a Union Pacific passenger train!

2) The famous "Ozzie and Harriet" episode about Ricky's trains. The zany neighbor, "Thorny," and Ozzie go down to a hobby shop and you can see a nice selection of Lionel trains and accessories from that era.  Great story about a kid growing too old for his toys, but Ozzie relives HIS youth.
