Parked on a siding southwest of town. Generator humming along. Don’t know where they are working. Could be an example of prototype for the modern railroad modelers.
So the town is Springfield, Il. Don’t know the railroad but the line comes in from the west, and hooks into the Chicago/St. Louis tracks that UP and Amtrak use. The only markings I could see were on the Dining Car that is NS. Sorry I can’t help more.
I have seen similar cars parked at the Enola Yards in the past often wondered what the did when parked there with all the steps down and generator running.
