I picked up a 783 today and want to get into the gearbox to clean it out and put new grease in there. I assume to do that I have to take the body off but I cant figure out how it comes off. Can anyone out there get me started in the right direction on this?

Take out the long screw holding the pilot wheels on. Take out the long screw holding the trailing truck on, remove the tiny screw holding on the ash pan and then you’ll take the two larger screws out holding the back of the boiler. Replacing the front steps is the only challenging part.
