Need someone to install a Digikey 497-2604-5-ND part number,  TIP 36C voltage regulator in MRC CM 20 power packs in a static free environment.

I have the Digikey parts mentioned above in the sealed bag and the tamper resistant fasteners are removed.

My specialty is limited to chopping wood and melting circuit boards.

Hi Chris,  Thank you,  Yes, I have had very satisfactory experience with MRC repairs over the years, alas no more.

I spoke to them on several occasions, they only want to sell me  new ones.  They refuse to  service the CM-20, 6200 or the 9500.

I did get the defective part but am hesitant to attempt installation and  kill it,  I do not want to melt the thing.  Actually there are seven CM-20s that I have needing service.  I have borrowed  some 6200 packs from TT service to use on the RR in the interim.

The various branch lines can be combined to run the RR on two packs but the wiring provides for optional individual control at each town and each yard for either DC or AC.

There's a wristband that the person wears and jumper wires for the soldering tool and any 3 third hand jigs and such. basically, everything must grounded.

No big deal.

Contact a local computer repair shop. They do that type of work all the time. Well, at least one that does component replacement.

perhaps you could persuade gunrunnerjohn to take the job.
