Ken's right. In addition, there's a recent thread here (last couple of days) discussing the Blue Streak set and one of the posters mentioned it was arriving this weekend.

You may want to check with your dealer. We received ours, and was invoiced the 17th of October.
I have had my PS2 Set since November. Great looking Train, nice station announcements... Buffalo, Albany!
Layout under construction, pardon the appearance!

The Blue Streak (and your layout) look great. And I see the 165 Magnetic Crane lurking back there. My favorite Lionel operating accessory!
It's a great looking set, You're very fortunate to have one of the twenty five PS2's shipped last fall. This is the first photo's I've seen of one outside of the catalog. Hopefully I'll have mine delivered this summer. It's a long wait, but I think seeing your pictures, one well worth waiting for.
Thanks for sharing.

Yes, mine has no tether either!

John,
Thanks for your kind comments, the layout has a long way to go. It is going to be a postwar and prewar - dealer display style layout. The 165 is one of my favorites too.
One beautiful set. I have a Lionel torpedo I got back in the 90's and I wood like to get it painted to match my Blue Comet train that I acquired on a hunting trip. The reason is the locomotive is equipped with sounds of steam, and as one forum member mentioned I would disconnect the sound of steam and I did.
Any comments on what you would do?
Al
After a hic up or two, my LHS got mine this morning. I am not a serious Lionel guy, but love articulated streamliners and this is a beauty. It's been a few years since I saw an original in person, but it seems to me the blue is off on the new one. Has a bit of gray to it. Is it just my memory or is there a fair amount of difference. I think this gray blue is great so not complaining, just wondering.

I too have the Silver Streak set. It is superb. The only thing I didn't really care for was the generic Hudson whistle MTH has used for years. I downloaded the sound file for the passenger set 249E loco. In my opinion, a far better whistle and soundset.
