Hello Everyone,

Hopefully,  one of you MTH Tech guys might be able to give me the MTH part numbers for these 2 wiring harnesses.    I need the short front(with the green LED's) classification lights wiring harness with the 2 pin male plug,   and the long rear(with the red LED's) classification lights wiring harness with the 2 pin female plug.   These are both for the MTH 20-20106-1 powered U28B(P&LE) although I suspect that the harnesses are probably the same for all the other premier powered U25B's as well.   I thought I would ask here first,  before contacting MTH and waiting for everything to filter through St. Midge(she must be a saint by now after all these years as their parts guru!!).   Thanks ahead of time for your help.

Nick

Are yours missing or inoperative.  You have a PS2 3V board.

Marty,

I am putting a 20-20106-3 non-powered U28B P&LE shell( cab #2818) onto a 20-20106-1 powered U28B P&LE chassis(cab #2808).   I have duplicate powered 2808's and want a different road number(2818) for the second powered unit   The 2818 shell only had dummy classification lights which I removed easily and remounted them into the 2808 shell.   However,  trying to remove the illuminated classification lights w/harnesses from the 2808 shell in order to remount them into the 2818 shell didn't turn out so well.   They were REALLY mounted in there with gobs of apparently hot glue from the factory and I ended up ruining the harnesses right at the connections where the LED's are attached to the harness.   It will be simpler(hopefully) to just purchase and use new harnesses than to try and repair the ones I damaged.

Nick,

You need the LED harness with the two LEDs am I correct.  You need red and green.  Yours should have a yellow plug if I am reading you right.  If that is all you need, I have a big box of them.  Let me know.

Marty,

Sorry for not replying sooner,  but we have had both power and internet issues in my area all day.   I am still unable to access any of my emails via our provider, Comcast.

Yes,  I need 2 separate harnesses.   The short harness with the green LED's for the front and the long harness with the red LED's for the rear.   Both of my harnesses have orange plugs with female connectors.   I have attached a couple of photos for reference and dimensions.   Short harness looks to be approx 4 1/2" long,  long harness looks to be approx 15 1/2" long.   They both plug into the block with the springs that make contact with the  metal plate on the chassis.  Hopes this helps make it clearer.   It's hard to see in the photos,  but the damage is the wires coming from the LED bulb itself-I broke some of the wires in trying to remove the glue/harnesses from the shell.   Thanks for your help.
