While running , the 2nd A unit almost caught on fire. Track power to the unit causes the two large transistors on the board to burn and smoke!
Options.. a) take it to a tech and have it fixed
b) make it into a non-powered unit
c) pull the board and hook the motors and smoke unit to the A in parallel. ( will this work?)

c) pull the board and hook the motors and smoke unit to the A in parallel. ( will this work?) Only if it was a Williams 6Amp board. MTH board don't have enough capacity. That's why they use a slave board. If the unit is new call MTH or contact G, Marty or Gunrunner.

8 1/2 years since delivered. I don't think there is a warranty on this engine even if it is new.
