Here's pix of our 4 special run cars,   Oscar Mayer, Falstaff, Penn Frig Lines-Washington Tomatoes and Penn Canning Coop

NOTE:  I had the green Falstaff beer car pic up before.  Decided to go with the brown one now, and will do the green one in late 2022/2023. The brown one has "St Louis. Missouri",  the green car has "omaha, nebraska".  I know there were some St Louis people asking for this car, so I went with St Louis to begin with. Nothing against Omaha,  I'll do that one next.

For Oscar Mayer, one road number will be MERX, with "refrigerator", the the 2nd road number will be OMX, with "Oscar Mayer and Co. " They will both have the larger herald, and the lettering on the left side.

A couple of those Oscar Mayer cars will be on my layout.  My layout’s era is late 40’s when nearly all 36’ reefers were gone, except for a fleet of meat reefers.  Some of those lasted into the 70s.

Need to do some research on that Oscar Mayer scheme, but I am pretty sure it was around in the 40s.

Ron, suggest you get yourself a copy of "Billboard Refrigerator Cars" by Richard Hendrickson and Edward Kaminski, a wealth of information with photos on every page.

Does this book cover paint schemes post 1937 or so when privately owned billboard painted cars were in decline?  I thought by my era, late 40s, true "billboard" paint schemes were gone and much simpler schemes were used for cars in dedicated owner service (like Oscar Mayer).

Beth (Public Delivery Track) has a lot of cars listed on her web site with paint schemes that may meet my requirements, but it is difficult to find out the dates they were used.  For privately owned cars, I would definitely buy this book if it covered paint schemes beyond the "billboard" era.

Ron, this book covers from the earliest paint schemes through the 30's, 40's and the simpler schemes you refer to in the post war era. Identifies the length of the cars, 36' or 40' with photos, there are multiple photos and information on the Oscar Mayer cars.
