Hi Steve,  nMy modules have O27 on the inside loop. When I first built the modules, Larry and I could not get the O31 to fit correctly inside the O36. Don't know why since everyone else had no issues. I was hopping to get a PS3 to run at our club meets. I think I will take the squares out and try to configure O31 track again. If you get a chance to test it, that would be great too.

Thanks,

Bob

CP BOB,

Sorry I did not see this thread before, the original 262 will run on 027 same with the Repro, however it does have some trouble with the 027 switches, it bumps thru them however,  the 027 Lionel Tubular track will accommodate the 262, 259, 249 and the 263E.

If you have the big 810 Crane Car the switches will accommodate the 810 also, at a reasonable speed.

Have fun!

GGG,

You are absolutely correct excessive running on Lionel 027 Tubular Track will in fact wear the wheels, on all these engines, it's the main reason the tightest curves I run my Tin Plate Engines on now, is the MTH 031 just inside the inner loop of my FasTrack.  So far no wear on any of the engine wheels, and I have used this inner Loop of MTH 031 for many years now.

Steve,

I figured you answered the way you did because of the tether, did not mean to steal your thunder buddy.  Also got to admit the 259 has a little more trouble than some of the others on the 027 Tubular, especially pulling an entire work train consist of cars.

Steve what really amazed me about both our Tin Plate layouts is that we are both using FasTrack to run our Tin Plate, man it runs smooth as class, even thru the FT CC Switches, old Tin on FasTrack, you got to love it.  I got to add your Standard Gauge FT is way cool.  Wish I had the room for an outside loop, got to figure out a way!
