Probably because you posted in the wrong forum. See Here:
Back to the issue with your locomotive. It's a PS2 5V locomotive. Those boards have capacitor issues and are prone to randomly dying. The fix is to replace the board with a PS32 board, or change to a conventional reverse unit or TMCC conversion.
i would love to have it tmcc, i already use cab#1 for big boy, how would i get something like that done and would you know what the price could be . Thank you
I would contact "Gunrunnerjohn " on this forum as a start. If he doesn't do them he would know who to send you to
check your email be glad to help you!

Do you know the item number? What exactly is it doing? Just no action when you apply power?

Ope! yes it is! I'll see it next time haha
Thank you for the replies. Its doing nothing when power is on, it was running and just stopped. i did other tender on and engine runs.

The board is in the tender on those locomotives, hence why it runs with a different tender.
It's not a good idea to swap around tenders on MTH locomotives. They can have slightly different wiring and you can easily fry something if you're not careful.
You can have a bad harness that is not allowing power. Can be a bad board. Needs to be tested. May be something simple not requiring a costly TMCC change. G
Thank you for the info, i do have a new harness i can try.
