I think you will have to be much more specific.
It's a 20-3059-1.
Its a fine engine like all of the MTH command engines. I have no idea how many were made. Maybe the numbers explain why you don't see much talk about them.
Its on my list to get a straight tether and deck plate.

I bought one used...it's pretty nice...IMO as good as the kline and lionel (of the similar price-point) that gets all the talk...just seems kinda underground-y...
Interesting how this stuff works...the less public something gets...the cheaper the price...but it's a smart-shopper score. 
Lack of publicity could be that there have been 2 more offerings of these hudsons since. There are some recent PS3 PT hudsons still available at dealers.
At any rate all solid performers at good prices. You can still get an MTH scale hudson with 4 passenger cars or a 5 car freight set for $200+ less than a Lionel hudson alone.
MTH has no doubt made more NYC Hudsons than everyone else combined. Everytime they release them they do anywhere from 3 to 5 or more either separate sale or in sets. Each release includes incremental improvements. The beauty is everyone from 2000 to current will run together.
