MTH made the Alp 44 and Alp 46 along with Bombardier set....If Mth could make a

ALP-45DP

would anyone Buy One?

(Along with a bombardier Multi-Level coach Cab car? )

I know there are many on here that live in NJ/NYC.

I see these everyday on the North Jersey Coastline.

Island Modelworks produces a model of the NJT Multilevel in HO scale. According to the owner, an O scale model could be produced without a great deal of difficulty (3D printing), but they'd need orders for about 25 pieces to make it worthwhile (with the price inching down if orders were greater than that)

Only myself and one other person on this forum expressed the kind of interest that would have translated into actual orders. We could have got some (cab cars, at least) if we could have lined up two or three more people willing to buy four or so cars each. This was maybe a year or so ago (around the time Greenberg Shows had an event in Queens, NY...right after a near-blizzard)

That probably gives a good indication of how high a hurdle MTH would face in getting these made. Already having a ALP-46 makes an '45DP a dicey proposition too.

I am interested in the ALP45DP since I work for Caterpillar & this locomotive has 2 of our 3512 diesel engines in each locomotive.

But I will not buy a 1:45 scale model of this locomotive like MTH did for the ALP46 which shared a lot of components with the European Bombardier Traxx locomotive that they have making for the European market.

These are just my opinion,

Thanks,

Naveen Rajan

Apologies for the old bump, but I'd get behind the O scale model of the bilevels!

And how close are those njt bombardier coaches to mbta double decker  coaches as well as the Montreal commuter coaches?
