Santa put an MTH "Aquarium" style car that has the rotating screen inside the car 30-79472.  It has an electric motor that rotates the screen that is viewable through big windows.  The screen is also backlit by an LED.  It is very nice, but I have a question about its operation.  When the screen is moving, it regularly pauses for a split second.  When it stops, you can hear a clicking sound.  Is that normal?

Thanks!

I recently received a new aquarium car and the film was not moving. I opened it up and as the rolls were moving I found that the film was stuck to the inside of the frame in a few places so i gently pulled it away. Now no problems. I would open it up and check to see if the rollers are moving freely and if so check to see if the film is catching somewhere. Mine was caught up on what appeared to be some small pieces of blue colored tape on the inside of the frame.   Ed

Thanks for the replies.  I did open it up, and as long as the shell was off the rotating film ran fine.  When I would put the shell back on, I had the same problem as before.  The film seemed warped at one spot.  It may have been catching on the inside of the shell.  All I know for sure is that when I tighten all four of the screws that hold the shell in place, the problem persists.  If I leave two of the screws slightly loose at one end, the problem goes away.  So, until the problem crops up again,  we'll operate it that way.

Thanks again!
