Last year MTH (Atlas) released the F3's in ABA scheme. I know you asked about the FT's. Would this be an option to consider? 20 years newer, PS3, great details etc.

@JoeWoods, the 2003 v1 B&O FT ABA has the freight yard sounds according to MTH "Features" page for your model (20-2442-1). Unfortunately, the "Support" page found in the same place does not have the MP3 demo file.
If you search the Premier FTs, you can find the 2005 v2 listings (left side) and click on them. All four of the 2005 FT ABA sets list freight sounds on their "Features" page. Choose one and click on the "Support" page and you will find the FT's MP3 demo file. It is very likely the same sound files as 2003. You will hear the "fog horn type horn" as you described it.
I can tell you for sure my 2003 v1 Southern FT ABA (20-2445-1) has the "fog horn" sound file. It is a 5v PS2. Your 2003 B&O has a 99% chance of being identical.
