I purchased an MTH 30-7763 Pennsylvania caboose. It came in the correctly numbered box. I expected to see #201 on the caboose but found #476042 instead. I checked all the other MTH Pennsylvania Bobber Cabooses I have (all of them that were made) thinking that someone had just put the wrong caboose in the right box, but, that number didn't match any of the known releases. Does anyone know if this caboose came in a set or what its origins may be? Thanks, Joe

I checked the bobber list too. Maybe the list is not up to date or that number was a special run for someone...Paul
If you go to the MTH website and search for "bobber caboose," you would find it easily.
Here's the link: http://mthtrains.com/30-7763
Someone put your caboose in the wrong box.
The road number you give is very similar to this one: http://mthtrains.com/20-91305.
Looks like you might have received a Premier version.

FWIW, I have a few of these, and I found very few differences between the RailKing and Premier editions, if you didn't know the road number, it would be hard to tell which product line they came from.
Jim R. I have that particular caboose with the correct number #201. The one in question came in the box for the #201 but had the odd number I listed.
Andy, I have both of those Premier cabooses also. ( I became a bobber nut from day one). Can't locate the #476042 anywhere.
John, you're correct. They sure look identical. The only difference is that MTH releases a pair of Premier Bobbers with different road numbers but only one road number in Railking versions.
Thanks for the replies. Joe

Sorry. Read it backwards.
