In recent threads there has been some discussion about what everyone would like. What I would like is to get an engine I order two catalogs ago.
I ordered 20-3441-1 0-8-8-0 Freight Set With Proto-Sound 3.0 2011 Volume 1 which was scheduled to ship a year ago and put off twice to now listed as TBD. This was a remake
Did anyone else order this engine ? and What is the longest wait time you experienced from either MTH or any other manufacturer??

I will preface my experiences by saying the wait times is not a reflection on the Importer.
I recall having some orders that were in force for a number of months. Instead of tying up funds waiting on a maybe, I adapted by procuring something else that is available very quickly (Within weeks)
Eventually I am able to plan a year ahead where I would like to be at and Pace my orders. Once in a while something good comes up and it is a good fit. For example tonight I won a set of MTH FA2 ABA Proto 2 Engines on the bay for about 150- all done, brand new. About 1/3 of the MSRP if memory serves. I don't have to worry about pre-ordering any.
The Local Hobby Shop has gone to a Order mid month and end of month pattern. So it becomes a monthly or bi monthly trip for me. I am fortunate to have a store that usually has something quite useful and timely.
If the engine is diecast, there will be a delay. This has been discussed many times before.
When I spoke to Mike Wolf at York he stated that the Erie 0-8-8-0's should be here later this year, after the RailKing PRR turbine and the Premier Santa Fe Blue Goose.
