I noted that the MTH 2018 Vol. 1 catalog listed ES44DC Premier diesels for sale. I missed the Canadian National ES44DC units back in 2009 (Vol. 2 catalog). As I recall MTH described how the locomotives being built at that time had tooling that allowed them to produce road specific details for different road names. One of the CN specific details was the shape of the cab windshield. Rather than being rectangular it had an angled glass at the outside, I assume to increase visibility. The artwork in the Vol. 2 catalog showed this. I sent a message to MTH asking if this detail will be repeated in the 2018 run but I have not heard from them. Does anyone have any information? I know that there are Forum members that have more information or contact with MTH. I really would like to pre-order this locomotive but not if they will simply produce the same locomotive for all the listed roads and just vary the paint scheme.
