Team,

I saw a lot of people upset with the MTH ES44's because the front door was on the wrong side. I am looking at the MTH 20-20522-1 SD 70ACE. Not real familiar with the SD70ACE in general. Any thought on how close this is to the real production units in the field today?

Are they prototypical correct?

I was going to purchase the ES44's but the comments made in the past have made me rethink that.

Seeking advice.

Kevin

CN I believe has three SD70ACe engines, 8100- 8102, all ex-EMD demos, still painted in the blue and silver demo colors with a big "CN" in white on the sides. The MTH SD70M-2, 8000s with the high headlight, is an SD70ACe body with the vent louvers on the side of the AC cabinet which is NOT correct. The earlier MTH version, 8800s with the low headlight in the nose, has the correct body shell for the SD70M-2. They only came in PS2. Five minutes of research could have made the difference but MTH dropped the ball.
