Alittle better than 2 weeks ago I sent off a parts inquiry to MTH about some doodlebug parts{motor/geared truck/diaphram/traction tires} and still haven't heard back from them..."last night" I sent off a parts inquiry to Lionel about new signal targets for our fastrack manual switches and had a reply waiting for me this morning after I dropped the kids off at school...Lionel had sent me a link to the exploded parts page of that switch{ I couldn't find it}, and within minutes I had the parts ordered...4pcs - two spares! Now that's the way parts shopping should be. Unfortunately while there at Lionel the other parts{when in Rome...} weren't available anymore, but at least I was able to check and tossed that page on my faves to go back and reuse if need be.

I'd expect something from MTH even if they couldn't deliver...nope, nothing yet. Anyone who's bought parts knows they're a tad costly but that's revenue for the company....but honestly I don't expect that any given manufacturer keeps parts for older engines all or any the time, unless it's still being made in the same way. I would expect that they respond to a customer's parts requests...maybe I'm expecting too much...but Lionel met my highest expectations today- Kudos to Lionel!

Agreed...I would think that the GP-9 cab glass and the 2 horns would still be available...nope, darnit.
