MTH CPR Royal Hudsons

 Just a follow up, I did contact MTH and they are looking into making the correction.

 A small change but big difference in accuracy.

Excellent news on the Royal Hudson. I recently sent an email to MTH requesting they do another production run of the Sudbury Brewing Co. reefer (30-78112) this time premier, two road numbers. I've also asked the Canadian Toy Train Association if they would consider doing this as a club car, very unique car.  

 I would be interested in the Sudbury Brewing Co as I was born there and spent many a summer during the late 60 to early 70s railfaning while at my Grandparents house.

   Sudbury was Royal Hudson territory as well.

A brewery birth would've given you some stories to tell today !

Had the opportunity to overnight in Sudbury about 13 years ago, while following 4-6-4 #2816 across the top of Lake Superior, during it's trans-national trek. Met a number of local railfans - a friendly group!  Good railroad town to have grown up in.

Weaver model had the 3 axle trucks on the tender and an interesting change.   You could do the tender with coal or oil.

 Yes when they converted the Hudsons to Oil they enlarged the size of the existing coal bunker to accomodate the new oil bunkers. This conversion was performed at Weston or Ogden shops for service on CPR's Western lines.

 All the Hudsons had 6 wheel trucks with a 9' wheel base. Only the later H1e class had Buckeye style trucks.
