I'm thinking about getting some CTA subway cars for my layout. Are these cars scale? Looking at the 30-20519-1 set.

The website doesn't say, other than to say, "Scale: O Gauge" (I didn't know O gauge was a scale) and operates on O31 curves. Not real helpful.
It does say they're 13 1/2" long. If you happen to know the size of the real one you're in business. I would think that would be important to anyone thinking of buying a set.
The MTH CTA cars are not true O scale. They are bigger. I saw a picture of a MTH car next to a O scale brass car and the difference was noticeable. Maybe you could Google search it and find the photo. I still like the MTH CTA cars. 95% of my model trains are not true O scale.
All RK Transit/ subways are larger than true O scale. An over site made from the beginning.
Mine all navigate 036 with short couplers installed but safety gates touch and ware the paint showing the brass.
Only premier are smaller and true O correct.
Are these are least the correct length? I could care less if there off in width and height.

With the short couplers running on 036, will they run fine, without derailing in out and back mode too? @SIRT
