Same problem i just had. i pulled the motor(4k scale miles)from the truck and used a dental pick to loosen debris between commutator bars and hit with Wurth contact ol and then compressed air. Runs fantastic now and restored my S1mph in both directions. In the end your flywheel should spin like a new one with slight resistance from your pole magnets.

He did this work through the opening in the motor body.  Do not try to take one apart.  A quick and 100 percent effective way is to get your motor running and squirt electric motor cleaner (non flammable) at the commutator in both directions of motor travel.  Key words being NON FLAMMABLE.  I use CRC Electric motor cleaner.  What he uses is a good product also.  Willygee gave you good information.
