Todd,

Both under conventional and DCS control, a PS2/PS3 engine will stay at its set speed up and down grades, and around curves, without any special wiring.

While there are guidelines for wiring to achieve the best DCS experience, there's no special wiring requirement for PS2/PS3 speed control, per se.
