I installed a 2nd TIU on a seperate block that includes 5 trks and turntable. Each trk is on a switch. When I turn on the Z1000 and then, switch 1trk on the engine starts as in conventional and so I switch off master, turn back on leave 1trk on and the engine operates in DCS. Also, if I have both 1& 2 TIU's on two different blocks, engines will start in the different blocks. So I shut one TIU off. Remotes are 1& 2 and TIU's are 1 & 2 in SuperTIU.

Press the start-up button and loco will switch from conventional to DCS operation. That's how I work it when powering on a loco by turning on a togggle switch.
Thank you.
Any comment onto why locomotives sometime start in another block with the other TIU is on. My understanding only the loco addressed should start and can be operated in any block in Super Tiu. You should not have to shut down the other TIU Block to startup.
Your do not have to shut down a TIU block to start up. After turning the block on, if loco comes up in conventional, simply press the startup button on the remote. I have 2 TIUs, a turntable, and many toggled locations where locos are parked. My 3 remotes & 2 TIUs are set for super.
Maybe I'm not understanding your issue.
This ought to be posted over on the DCS forum where the experts can be found.
I tried what you said, and it worked. As far as the engines starting in the other block with both TIU's on, This has since ceased. Must be the intial installation learning to work together. I am new to the forum and I thought we in the DCS forum.
Thanks for your help.

You're actually in the 3-Rail SCALE forum, but you can correct that next time since the problem is resolved.
