I had an MTH depressed center flat car on back order and Ro sent an email yesterday indicating it was out of stock. Does MTH produce rolling stock in large quantities or not so much? Maybe it just happens to be my luck.

On Monday, call MTH and ask them if they are going to produce that car or not.
Sounds like a plan Jim, thanks.
Unlike the old days, MTH produces very little on its own initiative (with risk involved). Most products are produced on a BTO basis with hobby shops or clubs securing the minimum number of orders to get something built. With that said, I vaguely remember seeing an e-mail from MTH about depressed center flat cars being available some time in the near future.
You didn't mention how long your order had been pending at Ro, but if you were waiting a long time, it's quite possible your "order" was closed due to a price increase by MTH. Other reasons might also exist. I would communicate with Ro and ask them what happened with your order; it might have been just a clerical / computer error.

Thanks Chuck, I will do that. I ordered it about six weeks ago and according to Ro, it was going to be available by 10-23. Well that was 5 days ago and I think I may in for a bit of a disappointment. LOL.
Why not contact another forum dealer, and see if it’s available from them. Then you’ll know if it’s been cancelled by MTH or just unavailable from Ro.
