Can this be reattached? The engine still runs if the reverse mode is off, but with limited power. I don't know if this is the only problem, but I'm assuming it is. All suggestions are appreciated.

you will need to replace with a new one. model number should be on old one, type model number in google or ebay to look for vendor that has replacement

That transistor turns the battery circuit on and off, so there is a possibility that you may not have battery continuity to the top board and can scramble the processor. That is available and replaceable. G
