I finally got back to fixing my layout and a problem has developed. In order to start fresh I  cleaned out the TIU and Remote with a factory reset. I added in the Genesis Military engine and a few others. When I went to add another it kept saying I was adding in the Genesis. It claimed it could not find any other engine to add. I reset both the TIU and the remote a number of times to factory settings which was suppose to clear out the memory on both machines. I also supposedly deleted the engine by selecting it but when I tried to add another this engine came up as added. How do you really get rid of the engine. I also tried resetting the engine to factory setup and it did not happen.

My main DCS remote shuts down now whenever it's asked to do a task? Seems like it will go a little farther if I pull the batteries and replace.

I got a low battery message so I put brand new ones in. The next session I got low battery again and it shut down when asked to do something.

I reset the remote. I added a single engine. I attempted to run it and the remote shut down?

Seems like it's stuck in whatever task it was last doing. Like after a reset, it's supposed to shut down.

I reset it again today and as soon as I attempted to add an engine, it shut down. I would normally look at things like the battery holder. It just seems like the remote wants to do something and is overwhelmed or confused?

I guess I'll open it up first? If nothing looks wrong I may try a new software load?

Sure seems like a bug. This remote was full. It is several years old but not abused. If it broke on our grandson, he didn't tell me.

I just have a feeling that when I deleted something last month that I sold, it did not like it? It started acting up soon after I removed that engine. I have to guess it was just coincidence???

Sometimes electronics have to fail fully to find the issue. Software issues, leave me guessing.

BTW, I cycled the mic button. No message on the screen to help.
