MTH F-3s - Do scale wheel version have fixed pilots?

Thinking about picking up a set of the MTH F-3s in the scale wheel version, with the intent of converting them to hi-rail wheels with the 3/2 conversion sets. Fixed pilots are really what I'm after here, but the pics on the MTH website appear to be the hi-rail version for all of them.

Can anyone confirm that the scale wheel versions of these do have fixed pilots? Anyone gone this route with these before?

Yes. Scale wheel versions of MTH diesels have fixed pilots and full length vertical hand rails.

 Do the 2rail diesels come with the 3 rail wheels or is it a separate purchase?   Kind of wish with the steamers they would give you the different drawbar tethers instead of a separate purchase.

The scale MTH diesels come with scale wheels only, the hi-rail wheel sets are a separate purchase unless you can trade with someone...
