MTH F3 20-2177 BCR Install - Which unit to Open? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I recently acquired these beautiful F3’s. They appear to be unrun so I want to install a BCR. Which unit holds the battery? The A unit numbers are 4137 and 4143. The B is not numbered.

Pro hint, the one with the speaker is the lead unit.

Second hint.

At the same time, if you have it open to reach the original battery- now is the the time to inspect the speaker and also inspect the board- example PS2 5V for an about to fail or failed Wincap capacitor on the PS2 5V board stack.
