I recently added a remote control helicopter launch feature to my modular layout, and at a train show yesterday we launched the helicopter a number of times!
Successful launches each time... The copter even went up the came down and landed on the layout a few times!
Problem: on a 10' ceiling, the copter hits the ceiling, so after a number of "flights" I noticed that the blades were beginning to break at the point they join to the center hub.
Bottom line: I'm looking for replacement MTH helicopters or just the rotor piece that has the 3 bladed and press fits onto the "drive shaft".
Any ideas where to buy 'em? searched here, on the MTH site (no parts list for all the copter cars I looked at) and at a few train parts sites. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
I'd like to keep some spare parts with me for future "flights"!
