Just watched todays MTH product video on the latest run of E-8's. I noticed the NYC has ditch lights. Is this a mistake or did someone restore a Lightning stripe E-8 to operating condition. I know that ditch lights were installed on the MTH Prr version because of the Bennett Levin restoration of the prototype a while ago. So is there an operating 1:1 version of this locomotive somewhere? I know there is a jade green E-8 somewhere out there

Thank you Joe.....That's what I was looking for. How long ago did those get repainted/restored? Are they still active?
Checked out the museum website and watched a few youtube vids. Got answers I needed. I think I want a pair of those MTH units. Anyone out there want to comment on how they like their new E-8's
Sorry I missed your questions. Glad you found the answers. For others to see:

I think about everything is closed around us right now?
3 units (an A-B-A set) received the experimental "Century Green" around 1961, 4083 was restored to it in 2014, but no ditch lights...
