MTH, LIONEL Wifi signals

It shouldn't do what you describe, but the simple test is to turn off the Legacy WiFi adapter and see if you still have the problem.

Sorry I was not very clear, I had tried that with no difference. The MTH dcs just seems to have a mind of its own. I was trying to determine if when everything is hooked up, would it make things worse, and as you indicated it should not. Everything works fine with the MTH handset I guess I will have to use that and forget the wifi for MTH trains.

What version of firmware is your MTH wifi unit? Does it match the app version? Not sure how long you have had it, but there was an upgrade shortly after the initial release that fixed some problems. I believe they should both be version 1.1, unless I missed an upgrade. I believe having unmatched versions causes problems.

Also others have reported some problems with some versions of some of the smart phones operating systems. I don't recall which ones, but they have been discussed here on the forum somewhere.

yes both units have the latest upgrades, I have the app on android and Apple devices, neither will run it properly. Lionel runs perfect on smart device and hand held, I will just stick to running mostly Lionel and use the MTH hand held if I want to mx in a few of them. Tired of screwing around with these issues.

Just to be clear, you must have the version 1.1 firmware in the WIU to use it with the latest version of the iOS or Android apps. If not, you will get errors such as you describe.

Thanks, it was suppose to be 1.1 when I got it from my dealer. Always the possibility it is not though. I will have them check it for the upgrade

I have both Lionel and MTH sitting side by side.  No issue.
