MTH Locomotive & Caboose Set Boxes

I've got quite a few MTH locomotive & caboose sets. They come in individual boxes which are then placed inside a generic box. The outside boxes normally contain no specific markings - not even the SKU.

Thinking I could save some space - and be easier to identify what's inside by discarding those outer boxes.

Also thinking discarding them would not decrease the value of the sets.

Thoughts?
