My buddy Roy picked up what looks like one of those MTH engineering samples.....it came to him with no motor, motor mount, flywheel, or coupling....Roy tasked me with making it all happen as none of the parts for this set up are available anymore,....after figuring out what would fit, we decided on a 12V 8000 series Pittman,.....we found some 8000 motors, that needed the end housing machined off, and got to work,....first thing was to ditch the CPR driver housing, and machine it down to just a round cap, ....next we fitted a Lionel mount that worked well with this application, with little mod work other than some bends in a brake,....i machined Roy a nice flywheel and coupler and and a short dog bone to complete the transmission,...everything fits in the shell, and works very well,...

Wow! Thanks Pat!
Can't wait to mount it into my loco and take it for a ride. I have a freight drag consist with some old wooden and brass boxcars converted to three rail.
Wow! That looks great Pat!
Wow! Look at the machine work. Beauty.
I wanted to post a big thank you to Pat from the Harmon shops. He made me a flywheel for a project Williams Challenger. It looks (and works) beautiful.
It was a busy couple of days and I just slapped it back in for now. Sorry. A lot of stuff on the bench.
Thanks!!
