Wonder why the domes in the new issue of the NP North Coast Limited are going to be numbered and named for Slumbercoaches?
Info on the NP archives website gives that identification to those numbers and names.

I'd be more concerned that the domes are similar to Pullman-Standard instead of Budd.

If this is a concern on the set, I would recommend you email Andy Edleman at MTH and provide the correct data. It does make a difference-- don't just let it slide if it's important to you.. here's his email:

Don't know why they can't do the Pullman-Standard domes and get it really "down" ...
I also sent Andy E an email suggesting some folks might be more inclined to purchase if the paint job is a match for the previous set. Look too weird to see both on the main lines ... in different shades of paint ... and lettering ... etc.
Personally, because the new domes probably will be from the same dies, i.e. Pullman Standard cars, if the paint and lettering matches the old set I'd be into getting the additional add-on cars. Be slick to have a diner to swap out mid-trip across the US on the 4-Domes West North Coast Limited.
The additional B unit would sure look good as well. If the tether pass-through for PS2 doesn't match the pins on the PS3 one ... I have a spare PS2 pass-through 
I purchased the set a few years ago and have it on display. Not being an NP fan I am still very happy with the colors.
Honestly I wish MTH would make a separate sale slumber coach one of these days.
Has MTH ever made a slumber coach? I'm wondering if they would have to make another die ... expensive prospect.
However, I'd buy two or three to go with my NCLs. IF they had the right number and name ... and were in stainless like the "real" ones were ..
