Hi, I just purchase oe for Florida it look very nice Now I don't have worry about the middle east anymore.
There are numerous variations, both MTH and Lionel. It raises the question...does your example have a walking beam that operates realistically slow? The originals quickly snapped up and down due to it's solenoid actuated mechanism. The constant clatter is a tad annoying. Other than that, I love them...got 2.

Yes, the MTH version that I bought has I believe a can motor which causes the beam to move up in down slowly and realistically. I had read that some of the Lionel versions used a solenoid. That is why I went with MTH because I had read that it had the motor and not the solenoid.
