I have an MTH Operating Freight Station that makes a buzzing noise when the freight is on the platform. It is wired correctly, the lights work and the freight disappears when I push the button. When I push the button to have the freight appear again it makes a buzzing noise that don't stop.
Has anyone else have this problem or have a suggestion how to make the buzzing stop.

There are pair of microswitches that cut power to the solenoid after the station is activated. If the station continues to buzz, it will overheat and melt both the housing and roof.
When I activate the freight station the freight disappears and the buzzing stops. When I bring the freight back down to the platform the buzzing stars again.
I have tried using different controllers and switching wires with the same results.
It's likely the microswitches under the roof. You have to loosen the platform in order to drop the mechanism from the roof.
If it is the micro switch I will have to contact MTH to get a new one.
It may just need adjustment. There are arms on each switch that may not be depressed enough to actuate the switch. You should hear an audible click when the lever is depressed and the switch is actuated. You can check continuity between terminal 1 (near pivot) and each other terminal (2 & 3). One side is NO, the other NC. They will change state when actuated.
I was able to solve the problem without taking the station apart. Instead of using the controller that came with the station, I am using a knife switch. After the freight comes down to the platform I move the knife so it don't make contact and it does not buzz. I also could have used two push buttons, one to make the freight disappear and one to make it return to the platform.
I know if I tried to repair it the right way it would never work again.
