I've been looking on the internet, etc, for photos of the MTH Transfer Dock in use on a layout but have never come across any.  For a pretty interesting item they aren't very many satisfactory images on it.  Every photo is a standard static display photo for sale.  Photos are scarce, but even more are videos of the item in action.  I can only come across with one video and its less than a minute in length.

I might guess that it's not a popular item, but then MTH came out recently with new M&M's and Sunshine Citrus Growers editions.  Unlike most of the trackside operating accessories, there is no actual interaction between this facility and a freight car.  Could that be the reason not many photos/videos of the facility on a layout or in action?

Do any of you folks have any versions of the MTH Transfer Dock on your layouts?  If so, please let me know what are your thoughts about it?  Photos would be nice too

I should add the only photo that I have of one in action is one that I took at my LHS (Ready to Roll) here in South Florida

I got it as a present 3 yrs ago and used it on my Christmas layout (my only layout so far). Large unit and quite nice! Needs to be weathered so it looks more "warehouse like"! My only complaint is that I thought the motor was a bit noisy. I inquired and was told they all are like that! Don't know but mine is! They do not interact with the trains but my grandkids love it! Hope this helps you!

Some time ago I had the Transfer Dock and used the on/off switch to run the conveyer separately.  And then, I got the idea to use Z-Stuff for Trains dwarf signal and relay.  Now, the dwarf signal shows up green and when the train passes it turns red which then lets the conveyer move and when the last car goes past the signal it will turn back to green in about 3 seconds.  You will need a power supply for the signal, relay and lights.  Now it's fun.  Good luck.  Marty

I picked one up a few years ago and had it on my old layout not adjacent to the rail lines and had truck traffic leading to the loading dock.  On my new layout I'm going to have it adjacent to the tracks and have a 153IR activate the unit when a train goes by.  I have it placed but not hooked up yet.
