I got this engine in "kit" form but it seems to be missing a board, I think its a constant voltage board, can someone identify it for me, maybe a part #. I have 3 connectors left over after plugging everything into the PS 2 boards.
I have tried to call MTH several times but can never get through. Any info, pics or help this formum can offer would be appreciated. This is a fantastic piece and would be the best engine I own. Thanks

Joe, if you had a couple pictures of what you are working with, that would help.
no digital camera but I'll try and borrow one, but this might help all the electronics are in the boiler section, only things in the tender are the speaker, battery and a interface board for the lights.
Joe, the plug with the white plastic and yellow, black and red wires go to a connection that is attached to the frame with an insulator under it and an insulated screw holding it in place. It should plug in with the openings facing up, you will see what I mean. The black plug should go on the side of the board, you can see the location in the 3rd picture. These plugs only go on one way, which is helpful. Make sure you aren't putting the wrong plug in the wrong place on the board, there should be the same number of pins on the board as there are holes in the plug. Good luck, sometimes these 5 volt boards are not long lived.

helpful info, I'll do as you say and let you know. So I guess there is no other board to this engine that goes in the boiler, right? thanks for the help.
