Can anyone provide a review of the MTH Premier Subway sets? I'm interested in the more modern subway sets. Do they have sufficient power? I know the cars are heavy and I've heard that a couple of the sets are lacking in power.

Since I'm new to subways it would be helpful if you provide the MTH product code. I don't know an R-34 from an R-40 without consulting the MTH product locator.
The R34 is just a rebuilt R11 Its not modern era They were designed in the 30's to travel on the then proposed 2nd ave subway You really dont have many choices for modern era subways There is the R32 and the R32 dealer appreciation. The real ones were delivered in the 1960's The R40 is the only other modern era Premier set The MTh version of this had problems with the vents on the top of the car warping.So its the R32 as my choice The original R32 is sought after and is probably pretty expensive if you can find it The Dealer Appreciation R32 goes for about 400 -475
