MTH Premier UP aux water tank question

I'm planning to order the recent offering of the aux water tank to go with my Challenger and have a question for the history experts.

With the three options offered: US flag, large lettering and small lettering, what are the respective years of operation for the various paint schemes? From what I can gather from my research it appears the flag and small letters go together. What years were the large letters used? What year did the flag variant become active?
