I have a problem when I connect the tender to the engine, everything works except forward reverse, when I press on the connector the engine will move. No bent pins on engine and connector seats fine, I think I should replace the tender wire but have no idea where to look. Please help.

From the sound of your post, one or several wires in the tether are broken. To check, remove the tether plug in the tender and test continuity through the tether, end-to-end. Replacement tethers are available from MTH.

May not be tether, could be pins on engine side PCB with cracked solder joints. Just as common as a bad tether. G
