MTH Proto 3 Light Blinks and Turns off

If this has draw bar make sure attached completely.  Do a convention al reset 1W and 5B hearing a two toot confirmation and or do a feature reset with DCS to see if that restores lights.  G

Thanks! I only have a Z-750 so I never got 2 toots when I tried the reset but I noticed one of the headlights would regularly blink every 10 seconds. Does this mean anything? Much Appreciation!

Z-750 will work, just need to get the timing down. Instructions give some guidance.  It is quick and you don't hold the buttons down.  Could be a conductivity issue between tender and engine with the draw bar being suspect.  Make sure both ends are plugged in fully.   G

Thanks Again! I was able to do the reset but it didn't cure the problem. The 256 is a boxcab electric so. There is no tender/tether. It essentially blinks like a long marzlight in one direction, the other direction does not light at all. Are you accepting repairs? I wonder if the light board is wired wrong?

OK,  Yes but maybe it is something simple.  I assume the other light works fine?

What model is this?  Are you ok taking the shell off?  G

Thanks for the help. But No, one light never comes on. The other flashes at regular intervals every couple of seconds when it is traveling in the direction the light is facing. When it travels in the other direction, neither light works. The blinking is very regular, at a constant interval, like a marz light. I'm terrible with tools and never had a problem that I did not make worse, so I prefer an expert like yourself do all the tinkering.
