Hello everyone,
This may have been brought up already and if so Sorry. I have a MTH Diesel engine that when I run it around my layout the sounds cuts out until I decrease the voltage. The sounds then comes back on and works great again. At no time will the engine slows down or stops running. I did get a new battery and replace it but with the same results. If anyone has any suggestions that would be great.

I would perform a reset. The reason is, it might have had a setting like "clickity clack" enabled and thus it would be speed and voltage related.

Again, that setting kicks in above a certain speed, and then below that speed- normal prime mover sounds return.

Conventional using horn and bell button while the engine in is neutral.
Under DCS control, there are 2 additional resets
Clean the track and wheels. Even rollers
I turn of clickity-clack as soon as I load an engine!
Thank you everyone for your help. I will clean the wheels and do the reset. I run in conventional so it shouldn't be hard.

Hi clickity clackity clack engage above speed 25 so if you set to 26 in about 10 second or so the rail clicking sound will start below 25 it will disengage, and sound will return to normal!
