I have an MTH C-Liner Proto Sound 2 diesel ABA that all of a sudden won't go into reverse in conventional mode. When the trailing "A" Unit is removed, the lead "A" will reverse as normal. Any thoughts? Thanks...

I'm not sure, but it sounds like there could be a pinched wire in the trailing A unit, or a short in the wire harness between the trailing A unit and B unit. Does the problem occur when lead A unit is directly connected to the trailing A unit? Also does the problem occur when operated in DCS mode?

John, thanks for the response. I'll try the two A's tomorrow without the "B" and post the result...
Is the slave motors always turning or not turning in reverse? Do your test with Shell of Trail A off. PS-2 slave boards are known to get motor fet shorts. So it could be that since Lead A works. Slave boards are repairable. G
