Does anyone have the n&w Rtr Protosound 2.0 bantam j passenger train set with the 4-8-4 j class. How do you like it? Is it a good smoker and does it have goodsounds? Does the engine look accurate to an N&w J also does it come with the DCS commander? Here is the number for the set I have been looking for an n&w j for a while and am tring to find which one to get.

Checked the features on the Web for you. I don't believe this comes with DCS Remote Commander. DCS RC is, however the best bargain I've had in a long time. I paid $35 for mine.

The Bantams are stumpy little locomotives. I have this shell for a shop scene on my layout. Since my J will be essentially hidden inside a building hanging from a crane, scale isn't too important. I also have a PRR Bantam Turbine that we run on the modular club layout. It is an awesome puller and has been an extremely reliable little locomotive. We keep it on the ready reserve track to pull "whatever" when there is a problem with a locomotive (such as tossing traction tires).

Bantams are no where near scale. If you have a small layout, good choice. Run it on a big layout with other scale locomotives and it looks a little silly. The MTH fan driven smoke units are exceptional smokers. I often refer to my PRR Turbine as the "Smokey Little Pig". As for sounds, I think you'll be pleased. There are people buying these Bantams in order to transplant the electronics into larger models of the J. I'm pretty sure that's where my shell came from.
