Wondering if anyone know if most or all of MTH's R-T-R diesel engines have reverse lights, specifically set 30-4239-1. It's the NS 1st responders set. A buyer that I sold this engine to said the reverse lights are missing. This kinda sounds strange to me, apparently he's opened it up and is looking to add a light.

I have the sister engine series 30-4240-1 to that- it's "Baby" Dash8. Yes, these are shorter than normal starter unit sets with no smoke unit, however they came standard with normal double reverse light in the shell. Again, I literally have in front of me with the shell off, the LEDs are mounted in the shell in the rear and connect with a standard green connector (MTH often color coded front light blue, rear light green).
That said, while the PS3 board supports functions- the 40 pin harness in these engines from factory only have headlight and rear light provisions.
No ditch light, no cab light, it's a bare minimum starter engine.

Thank you, I understand these are the bare bones engines, I just thought it strange the buyer said the lights, wires etc were not there. Maybe the PO removed them, but why ?
Again, this is the sister engine to that first responders set- the NS Veterans 6920, but the starter set engine
Rear light is a double LED set installed into the shell and plugs in via green connector.
Front headlight is mounted to the frame of the engine and is also a double LED set with a blue connector
The 40 pin harness is the bare minimum harness- headlight, taillight, front coupler, rear coupler

I have no doubt that it should be there, he's supposed to send me pictures and is checking with "his tech" if it can be added. I took video of it running, so they can't say it's DOA unless caused by shipping, but I didn't video it backing up...
Hi Vernon, just wanted to say you helped jog my memory. I found the LEDS, bracket and green plug in a junk train drawer. I think I had ordered a new set because the lights had failed or something, then I forgot to install them. Thanks again for your help
