Can you put it on the track without the TIU hooked up no DCS signal, and try the factory reset.

You press one horn and five bell buttons about a second apart. If it takes the engine should respond with the horn tooting.

Will try factory reset though I've never done it before.....model no. 30-20362-1e.   Proto 3

Yes....thats it....i am using a lionel kw 190watt transformer and have through the you 18 v on track.....all other engines work fine on this programming track.....i will try that reset in morn and will let you know where I'm at....thanks again

I took my out of warranty Lackawanna RK sd70 ace to mth just this past week.  They told me a month for repair.  Less than 30 minutes of track time!

You cannot reset a PS3 engine with a KW. The reset process requires both horn and bell buttons.
