I just bought at a very reduced price the veterans mth railking engine. I was told that it moves forward and is locked in forward. Anyway...got it put it on programming track and it does nothing.....i go to setup and try to add mth engine and I get....no engine found. At the front of the engine I hear a very faint buzz but it is almost inaudible. Any idea anyone? And just in case does anyone a certified mth tech in central Florida? I will mail it if I have to. I thank any and all for the help....Tom

You may get better help if we can know the exact model number and any info to help know what train this is.
I'm going to guess it's this one from the set?

Can you put it on the track without the TIU hooked up no DCS signal, and try the factory reset.
You press one horn and five bell buttons about a second apart. If it takes the engine should respond with the horn tooting.

Yes....thats it....i am using a lionel kw 190watt transformer and have through the you 18 v on track.....all other engines work fine on this programming track.....i will try that reset in morn and will let you know where I'm at....thanks again
I took my out of warranty Lackawanna RK sd70 ace to mth just this past week. They told me a month for repair. Less than 30 minutes of track time!
You cannot reset a PS3 engine with a KW. The reset process requires both horn and bell buttons.
Thank you Barry.....that was going to be my next question...."how am I pressing horn and bell on remote w/o tiu?".......so the conundrum deepens! Lol.....Thx
Send it to Bill Lucas at Ready to Roll. Did you buy it knowing it had an issue?
