I have a set of these, there are two head lights the upper light fluctuates from dim to bright as the engine runs forward the lower light is constant, in reverse both lights are constant anyone have a pair of these that does this.Sent e mail to MTH a month ago apparently

The fluctuating "headlight" is actually a MARS light. It's doing what it's supposed to do.
Actually, the rear unit's MARS light should also be doing the same thing. That's the one that's malfunctioning.
Is the rear unit's light on all the time, regardless of the direction of travel?

Has it always worked like this or is this something recent?
trailing engine lights are off when going forward took delivery last November always that way
